White Center bakery becomes community center for local Cambodian Americans
Golden House bakery opened its doors in 2005 in a small stripmall in the White Center retail core along 15th Ave SW. It was opened by wife and husband Bunthy Thoeun and Pharin Kong. It bid farewell to the community in 2019.
New Community Birth Center Expands Access in the South Sound
Community Birth Center opened had its grand opening on December 1st 2021. It is owned an operated by Terri Chi-Lee and sits in a small industrial park in Lacey.
